Recording oral history is a wonderful way of preserving memories and knowledge. I am experienced and skilled at conducting recorded interviews. From 2010 to 2014, I served as Official Historian for the Village of North Palm Beach, maintaining the town’s archives and interviewing residents about local history. I conducted interviews with retired councilmen, and the library’s first director. My work resulted in a book, published in 2020, called Village of North Palm Beach: A History (Arcadia Publishing). At the heart of this work was a deep reverence for personal history. In writing my book, I sought to honor the memories and the hard work of those who founded the Village.
Since then, I have interviewed my own family members and close friends. I’m so grateful to have their voices, their memories, in a recording I can access whenever I wish.
I have also been conducting interviews in a professional capacity since 2014 in my work as managing editor of Mobile Electronics magazine.

When you hire me to conduct an oral history, you’re not just getting a recording. You will receive a recording and a transcription, presented as creatively as you’d like. Photos or other meaning-making artifacts can be included in the package.
Recorded Interview Package & Fee
This package includes the following:
- 50-minute discovery call
- An oral history or recorded interview, conducted either in-person, on the phone, or virtually
- A full transcription of the recording
During our first call, I’ll find out more about the kinds of things you’d like to discuss during the interview. This project can be personalized however you’d like. The full interview is a casual, enjoyable process. No pressure. If needed, we can easily split the interview into more than one call. I am here to help you. What do you need from me? - Who will receive a copy of the interview?
- Would you like photos to be included in the transcription document?
