About Rosa

Rosa Sophia is a full-time editorial consultant and novelist. She began her editing work while she was still in high school; she worked as an intern and reviewed submissions for the Bucks County Writer. Shortly after that, she joined the staff of Wild River Review and began doing freelance editing on the side, then taught a fiction writing workshop at Tinicum Art and Science, now The Lotus School of Liberal Arts.

Rosa at Juno BeachAddicted to writing, Rosa is working on several projects. In 2012, she attended the Key West Literary Seminar and Jay Parini’s fiction workshop. In 2014, she attended Writers in Paradise at Eckerd College, and studied with author Ann Hood, then enrolled in a personal essay writing class, also with Ann Hood, through the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center. Most recently, she attended Writers in Paradise a second time in 2015, this time studying with Les Standiford in his fiction writing workshop. Dedicated to learning, Rosa enjoys passing on everything she learns to other writers.

Rosa edits for publishing companies and independent clients (authors like you) and she is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association. She currently divides her time between writing, editing, and fixing cars. She holds a degree in Automotive Technology and is studying for a bachelor’s in communication. Rosa was also the official Historian for the Village of North Palm Beach for three years, and is currently a member of the Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationists, The Seminole Wars FoundationSoutheast Florida Archaeological Society, Society of Florida Archivists, and a member of the Friends of the Everglades. Finally, Rosa is the founder of Lady June Press and resides in Jensen Beach, Florida.
